Day of Service: Project Description

 Day of Service projects are scheduled for September 24, 2011

(Check in 9am @ LDS Stake Center 6700 W. 8200 S.)

Day of Service - work description and focus areas: Most work will include cleaning parkways, pulling weeds, cutting down heavy brush, trimming trees, and trimming bushes. It is anticipated that most areas will only take 1 1/2 to 3 hours to clean. Garbage sacks and dumpsters will be provided at each area and picked up by West Jordan City. Individual assistance may be assigned for specific residents in need such as widows, or those with physical needs. Regardless of your age, or physical state...everyone can participate! We highly encourage Youth and Project Leader Volunteers.These individuals can assist with phone calls and organizational efforts. This is truly a COMMUNITY effort!

 Sycamores Group A

Includes the following areas. Each group/street assignment will have a project leader for guidance. 

  • 8200 South between 7025 West and Stokley
  • 8200 south between Stokley & Cricket
  • Round-a-bout at Aberford & Cricket
  • Stokley west side New Sycamore to 8200 So
  • Stokley east side New Sycamore to 8200 So
  • New Sycamore heading east to 7800 So
  • North side New Sycamore heading east to 7800 South, South side

Sycamores Group B

Includes the following areas Each group/street assignment will have a project leader for guidance.

  • Park area at New Sycamore and 7800 South
  • New Sycamore to Baccus along 7800 South
  • Park area north of the gas station
  • New Sycamore at 7365 West
  • Upper sycamores storm drain 

Maples Group A

Includes the following areas. Each group/street assignment will have a project leader for guidance.

  • 7800 South-Baccus east to 6700 West-North side
  • 7800 S-Baccus east to 6700 W-Walking trail
  • 6700 West east to end of sidewalk-No side
  • 6700 W north to Haven Maple Dr. (east side)
  • 6700 W (east side) Haven Maple Dr north to 7400 So
  • 6700 West (west side) 7800 So to Tupelo Lane
  • 6700 West (east side) Tupelo Lane to Grevillea

Maples Group B

Includes the following areas. Each group/street assignment will have a project leader for guidance.

  • 6700 West (east side) Grevillea to Haven Maple
  • 6700 West (east side) Haven Maple to Park Maple
  • 6700 West (east side) Park Maple to 7400 So

Oaks Group

Includes the following areas. Each group/street assignment will have a project leader for guidance.

  • Hilltop Oak 8525 S. From 6700 W. to Sierra Oaks (8370 S)
  • Fall Oak Dr. 8340 S. (From school to 8200S)
  • 8600 S Beginning @ 6400W (Parkways)
  • 6400 W just north of 8200 W
  • 8200 S. From Park to middle school
  • 6700 West (east side) Park Maple to 7400 So
